WELZEK Launches Its First Bidirectional Power Meter – BPM
The BPM (Bidirectional Power Meter) integrates both transmit and receive power measurement in a single device, capable of measuring power and serving as a single-tone signal source. It breaks the traditional limitation of single-function power meters, enabling full-link power detection for transceiver devices with one unit. Compact, portable, and easy to use, its related patents have been filed.
The BPM delivers an efficient and convenient power measurement solution for RF communications, IoT, research, and more.

Traditional power meter calibration requires a signal generator and accessories like power splitters for receiving tests. The WELZEK BPM features bidirectional capability: it accurately measures external device transmit power and also generates standard CW signals for external device receive chains – all without an additional signal source. A single unit completes full-link power detection, greatly simplifying test procedures and reducing equipment costs.

The WELZEK BPM covers a frequency range of 10 MHz to 10 GHz, supporting 2/3/4/5G Sub-6G, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, UWB, and more – adapting to diverse test scenarios. It measures CW power from -25 to 15 dBm with wide dynamic range, accurately capturing both weak and standard signals. The device also outputs stable CW signals (10 MHz–10 GHz, ~-15 dBm), providing a standard signal source for receiver link sensitivity and consistency testing.
Application Scenarios
Line Loss Measurement – Used in smartphone production lines for professional line loss testing, ensuring accuracy in power measurement and quality control.
Transceiver Power Measurement – Suitable for transceiver devices across R&D, production, and debugging phases, supporting both transmitter and receiver power testing.
Fault Diagnosis – On-site troubleshooting by checking whether transmit/receive power meets standards, quickly identifying and verifying failures in the transceiver path.
